All-natural prostate support

Promotes optimal prostate health

Reduces frequent urination

Protects against enlarged prostate

Benefits:

It’s hard to believe that we could improve on the venerable PSA Caps formula, but that’s exactly what we’ve done. While many of the same prostate-support nutrients are still in place, we’ve added the power of Indole-3-carbinol (I3C)—a naturally occurring compound in cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, etc.)—and Pygeum bark extract, which research has shown to dramatically decrease excess nighttime urination. Now more than ever, PSA Caps is the most comprehensive prostate health supplement for men in their thirties and older.

How to use:

Take 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules at night.

Ingredient breakdown:

Beta-Sitosterol – A plant sterol (phytosterol) with a structure like endogenous cholesterol, beta-sitosterol inhibits 5-alpha reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to harmful dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It also decreases activity of aromatase, an enzyme that accelerates the conversion of testosterone to harmful estrogen—estradiol and estrone.

Saw Palmetto Extract (Seronoa Repens) – The extract from this plant (a creeping palm) is a frequently used herbal treatment for enhancing prostate health.

Stinging Nettle (Urtica Dioica Root Extract 4:1) – The active ingredient in this plant inhibits the ability of epidermal growth factor (EGF), which would otherwise stimulate growth of prostate tissue (a key underlying factor in the progression of an enlarged prostate).

Indole-3-carbinol (I3C) – This is a naturally occurring compound in cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, etc.) that has powerful prostate-protecting properties. As men age, they start producing more estrogen than testosterone. Research has shown that I3C helps maintain a more-favorable estrogen balance in men by shifting estrogen metabolism to the more-beneficial 2-hydroxylation pathway instead of the undesirable 16-alpha-hydroxylation pathway. When this estrogen metabolic pathway is employed, increased levels of protective 2-hydroxyestrone (the “good” estrogen) and reduced levels of harmful 16-alphahydroxyestrone (the “bad” estrogen) have been noted.

Pygeum Extract (bark) – The extract from the bark of the African cherry tree, pygeum africanum, helps to alleviate BPH (Benign Prostate Hypertrophy) and its symptoms by inhibiting the activity of the 5-a-reductase enzyme, which is responsible for the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a potent testosterone metabolite that may exacerbate BPH. Studies with pygeum have shown dramatic decreases in a primary symptom of BPH—nocturia (excess nighttime urination)—compared to placebo.

Lycopene – This powerful antioxidant protects the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) content of lymphocytes (cells found in the blood, lymph, and lymphoid tissues) from oxidative damage.
